Hi, what would be a good beginners snake?
I haven't kept reptiles before and so it must be easy to look after.
thanks

Easily the corn snake but there are others. Check out the pics in the photo Gallery. Hopefully you will choose one of these as they are quite a bit easier to keep than others and there is a bit of room for errors. You can get them in hundreds of different colours and they are stunning snakes. As tame as you get.
Have a look and let me know what you think. I can suggest others if you like and can provide an outline of their basic care if you need it.

Have to agree wth that. Corn snakes are one of the easiest snakes to care for. They are so very placid and easy to look after. They are very easily handled and get very tame.

They are indeed. I've been keeping corns only for a few months, and after reading a lot about it, found it really easy to look after. They really are excellent. Saying that, I only had cats and fishes before, so I have nothing to compare them with.
