Warning to all people considering getting a corn snake! They are addictive!! You start with one and before long your house will be full of them! I should be getting my third tomorrow... I only started last June! ;D

Parents are a restriction, but space will be one for me!! My boyfriend doesn't really mind me getting snakes, although I think he's quiet about it because he wants more fish himself!

It's still a good excuse to get more pets, lol
To be honest the fish don't get that mkuch attention. The tanks take so much time to clean. And I can only really do it when my parents are out or else I never get anywhere. They would have the entire living room covered in newspaper before I started if they were allowed and getting shouted at every time a little bit of water goes onto the carpet doesn't really help.
The faulty external filter is a problem to.
-goes of to clean tank-

How big are your fish tanks? My boyfriend is responsible to look after ours, so all I have to do is enjoy them!

Couldn't agree with you more Brigadoon! We found our albino corn in our back yard in early August and hubby just bought his own this weekend (male anery hypo). We're quite excited. He's already talking about getting a bloodred next. LOL We already have 3 cats, a dog and an emperor scorpion. Friends are saying we should start charging admission to our house!

The tanks are a 30 gallon freshwater community and a 60 gallon cichlid tank.

What kind of cichlids do you have? We have blue acaras, fire mouths and kribensis. Eddie (hubby) wants an oscar one day, but we need a minimum 4ft tank for that...

Where are you from CC? I want a bloodred too, they're absolutely gorgeous but they seem quite difficult to find in the UK, at least Southern England

I'm from Manitoba, Canada. Bloodreds aren't that easy to find here either. There is a lady in Ontario (on province over) that breeds corns and has told us we could put in a request for a bloodred. The closest we've seen so far was at an expo this past weekend and it was a bloodred crossed with something else so it wasn't as deep a color, unfortunately.

I think next year I'll start searching early for one, I think I left it too late this year. At least I found a fair few shops and breeders now so I know where to look. Hopefully one of them will have one! I wonder why they're so hard to come by!
