I am thinking of getting a vivarium for crimbo, but what size should I get considering I dont want to buy another later. Snoop is only small at the mo just over a foot. So what size should his viv be when he is fully grown? I saw one on a website that was £60 for a 24 inch viv, I will post the link for it. Is this big enough for an adult corn? cheers. www.animalinstinct.co.uk/acatalog/info%5fV2224XG%2ehtml

I would persoanlly not go for anything under a 3ft for an adult. I have kept my lot in geo boxes until they reach a decent size and then put them into 2ft vivs. My adult corn is now in a 4ft by 2ft by 2ft and my younger corn will be getting another 4ft soon.
So I would keep yours in a geo box until it reaches about 2ft then think about a bigger home rushing it into a larger cage will stress it out so I woul ddefinatly wait until it has a couple more sheds before even considering it.

The tank s/he's in now is fine until the snake gets to about 2 1/2-3 foot long, then i'd move it into a 3 by 18 by 18 viv if living on it's own, but a 4 by 18 by 18, or 4 by 24 by 24 is better (and has plenty of room for 2).
As long as they can lay their whole body down the back and 1 side without going over (head to tail) then the viv is the correct size (thats for an adult, the smaller the snake the more nervous they are and less space is needed).
